If you've been looking for a new dinner spot in West Midtown Atlanta that checks every box — great food, great cocktails, and an atmosphere that actually makes the night feel special — Lo Kee needs to be your next reservation.
This modern Asian fusion restaurant opened in late 2024 at 2 Interlock Ave NW, right in the heart of West Midtown, and it's quickly becoming one of the most talked-about new restaurants in Atlanta. Here's everything you need to know before you go.

WHAT IS LO KEE ATLANTA?

Lo Kee is a modern Asian fusion restaurant brought to Atlanta by the same team behind Sei Less, the celebrated New York City hotspot known for its high-energy dining experience and A-list following. The Atlanta location brings that same energy south — think elevated Pan-Asian cuisine, creative craft cocktails, and a dining room designed to feel like an event.
The space seats around 150 guests and has a dim, intimate atmosphere — low lighting, comfortable seating, and artwork that bridges NYC nightlife culture with Atlanta's creative identity. It's upscale but not stuffy — the kind of place where you come for dinner and end up staying for the whole night.

THE FOOD AT LO KEE

The menu at Lo Kee covers a lot of ground in the best way possible. Whether you're grazing through appetizers or going all in on a full spread, there's something for every kind of eater. Here's a breakdown of what to order.
Seafood Starters Worth Ordering
The Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice ($27) is an instant standout — big eye tuna, sriracha mayo, and sesame oil on crispy rice. It's the kind of dish that disappears fast, so order it early. The Yellowtail Sashimi ($25) with black garlic and crispy ginger is simple and clean, letting the quality of the fish speak for itself. And if you're feeling indulgent, the Lobster Spoons ($27 for four) are poached lobster in a beurre blanc butter sauce that's genuinely hard to stop eating.
Dim Sum and Small Bites
Lo Kee's dim sum section is one of the highlights of the menu. The Shrimp Dumplings ($20) are steamed with black truffle — a small but memorable upgrade from your standard har gow. The Short Rib Bao Buns ($21) come with Chinese red wine sauce, apple, and taro fries, which is a combination that works better than it sounds. The Rock Shrimp Tempura ($23) with spicy aioli and cilantro is another easy crowd-pleaser.
Mains and Entrees
For larger plates, the Salt & Pepper Jumbo Prawns ($35) are a must — crispy onion, scallions, and crispy rice noodles make for a dish with serious texture and flavor. The Chilean Sea Bass ($42) with Japanese whiskey glaze and green apple purée is on the higher end of the menu but worth it for a special occasion. The Black Pepper Beef ($36) uses filet mignon, which tells you everything you need to know about the quality level Lo Kee is going for.
Noodles and Rice
The lo mein section serves two and is the perfect way to round out a shareable meal. The Lobster Lo Mein ($25) is the move if you want to go all out, but the Shrimp Lo Mein ($23) is a solid, slightly more approachable option that still hits.
Dessert
Don't skip dessert. The Thai Tea Crème Brûlée ($14) — a creamy Thai tea custard with caramelized sugar — is one of the more creative dessert options you'll find at an Atlanta restaurant right now. The Frozen "Hot" Chocolate ($16) with Biscoff cookie, Vietnamese cinnamon, and toasted marshmallow ice cream is equally impressive. Lo Kee's pastry program is led by Chef Maximilian Lucas, and it shows.
Cocktails
The cocktail menu at Lo Kee leans into Asian-inspired flavors — think yuzu, lychee, and other ingredients you don't typically see at your average Atlanta bar. They're creative without being gimmicky, and they pair well with the food. Plan on at least one round at the bar before or after dinner.
Lo Kee is a great fit for date nights, birthday dinners, or any occasion where you want the atmosphere to do some of the work. The dining room has a warm, intimate energy that shifts into more of a late-night lounge feel as the evening goes on, especially on weekends. Valet is available, which is a bonus in West Midtown where parking can be a hassle. I did find street parking for only $4. Valet is a flat fee of $20, which is expensive.

Final Thoughts
Lo Kee is a strong addition to the West Midtown Atlanta dining scene. The menu is extensive and well-executed, the atmosphere is one of the better ones to open in Atlanta recently, and the team behind it clearly knows how to run a restaurant. If you're looking for a new go-to for date nights or group dinners in Atlanta, this one is worth making a reservation for sooner rather than later.
